About Karen and Pandaste Yoga
Hi, my name is Karen Achtman, and I am excited to be teaching kids yoga classes. I began my career as an elementary and special education teacher while frequently practicing yoga on the side for my own wellbeing. I also began teaching adult yoga classes. After becoming a mom, I added the kids yoga certification to my repertoire; I wanted to combine my passions of teaching kids and yoga!
Panda and Me classes consist of yoga poses, songs, movement, and stories. Classes are a great opportunity to connect with and bond with your child, while having fun! Benefits of practicing yoga include stretching your body, improving flexibility, balance, and coordination, and trying new things! Yoga is also accessible to everyone; it is a noncompetitive activity to do together with your child! Kids yoga classes help instill yoga principles in children from a young age; these are skills they'll use throughout their lives!
